We teach students in small groups or one-one-on so that we can focus on each student’s weaknesses and develop a curriculum to target those problem areas. Our teachers are from top colleges in California and are professionals in the Bay Area. They are well versed in the privet school and the college process, thus our teachers not only help raise your child's entrance exam scores but they also mentor the student to reach his/her full potential and ultimately end up in the college of his/her dreams.
We offer home work help for HS and MD students in Calculus, Algebra, Geometry, Chemistry, Bio, English and test preparation in HSPT, SAT, ACT, LSAT, CBEST etc.

Our Teachers
Don Heinsohn holds a degree in Political Science from the University of
California, Santa Barbara and has a teaching credential from Humbolt
State University. Currently he teaches AP and upper level US and World history at
James Logan High School in Union City and creates topics for various Debate tournaments around the Bay Area. Also Don Heinsohn is a Director of Bay Area Debate Academy Forensics. He has worked with numerous State and
National Finalists and Champions in a variety of Speech & Debate events. Mr. Heinsohn holds the title of a
Triple Diamond Coaching Award from the National Forensics League.
Mr. Heinsohn teaches for College Bound Genius: AP European History, AP US History, Government and Politics; Comparative, Government and politics: United States, World History.

Mark S.
Woodhead holds a B.A.
in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy from UC Davis. Mr. Woodhead scored in
the 98.6% percentile of all LSAT, law school entrance exam, testers. Mr. Woodhead also holds a Law Degree
from UCLA School of Law, 2010, with a focus on environmental and constitutional
law. Currently he has been admitted to the California State Bar, and practices part at an employment law firm in Hayward, CA.
Mr. Woodhead has a vast debate experience through High School. He competed for
the James Logan High School Class of 2001 which won three of four State
Championships for cumulative team sweepstakes competition. Mr Woodhead also qualified
for and competed at the State Tournament each of his four years in Forensics,
competing in Original Prose and Poetry, Expository Speaking, Policy Debate, and
Original Advocacy. Mr. Woodhead attended
rigorous and prestigious summer camps for policy debate in Kentucky and
Dartmouth. He competed at
Invitationals all over the country, finishing in first place at a number of
tournaments in policy debate, including the Long Beach Invitational and in
4th at State in policy, and qualifying for Nationals twice in an extremely
competitive district.
Jennifer Brooks comes to College bound Genius with over four years of
coaching and tutoring experience. She is the 2007 California High School
Speech Asociaion (CHSSA) state champion in Expository speaking and has
won several national invitationals, including the Stanford, U.C.
Berkeley, and Martin Luther King Jr. Tournaments. In college,
Jennifer worked as a speech coach for James Logan High School's
nationally-acclaimed Forensics team in Platform Speaking.
As an academic tutor, Jennifer has worked in private, one-on-one
tutoring settings with elementary and middle school students of all
learning capacities. She has volunteered as a tutor for
inner-city school children in reading, writing, and comprehension and
has worked one-on-one coaching children with speech impediments.
Jennifer graduated with a B.A. in Architecture from UC Berkeley
with minors in Sustainable Design and City & Regional Planning.

Stacy
Dawson, our debate coach, history and English teacher.
Mrs. Dawson holds a bachelors degree in Philosophy and Political
Science. She is currently an adjunct teacher of Advanced Middle School
Debate at the Harker School during the summer. As a debate coach at the
college, high school, and middle school levels; all her teams have gone
into elimination rounds.
Stacy
Dawson, started debating in 2002 as a sophomore at Lone Peak High,
where she graduated with honors from the National Forensics League
competing in extemporaneous speech, policy and public forum debate. She
continued her career on a full policy debate scholarship at Weber State
University, where she was captain of the team for three years and won
several awards including: top speaker at James Rupp-Idaho State
University, twice the winner and twice the top speaker of the Denver
University debate tournament, was the top qualifier to the National
Debate Tournament from District Nine; as well as the second speaker and
she was a rare four time consecutive qualifier to the National Debate
Tournament. For four consecutive years, 2006-2010, Mrs. Dawson was
ranked as one of top collegiate debaters in the state of Utah and the
nation.

Helen Heinsohn an owner and a math teacher at Young Genius Educations center. Helen holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from one of the best college in Ukraine.
